Our Lounges
SAA invites travellers to enjoy a seamless and relaxed experience in our world-class lounges. Should you need to get some work done or simply relax and have some time away from the crowds, we offer you a range of lounges across the globe that caters for your individual needs. As a member of the Star Alliance, customers can enjoy the comfort offered by alliance partner lounges at airports where SAA do not have a lounge offering.
Discovery Bank Purple, Black and Platinum cardholders will be able to use their Discovery Bank app to access SAA’s airport lounges.
SAA’s long-term partnership with Discovery Bank will provide customers with access to upgraded service offerings and in the near future, freshly renovated facilities.

The Lounge
Premium travellers can sit back and relax in our lounges in the major cities of South Africa namely, Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport), Cape Town, (Cape Town International Airport), Durban (King Shaka International Airport) and Gqeberha (Chief Dawid Stuurman Airport), as well as one lounge in Africa based in Harare. The Gqeberha and Harare lounges are temporarily closed.
In our hub, O.R Tambo International Airport, international travellers can choose from 2 lounges, both offering a tranquil and comfortable escape from the hustle of the airport. And if you need to freshen up after a long flight into South Africa, we welcome you to use SAA’s Arrivals Lounge.
The arrival lounge is temporarily closed.
For travel within South Africa, The Lounge is situated in Terminal B, domestic departures.

SAA’s Platinum Lounge offers travellers peerless service, privacy and comfort in an elegant atmosphere designed to help you relax before your flight.
The operating hours will be in accordance with SAA’s flight schedule, subject to changes at short notice.

Sit back and let us welcome you to our flagship Platinum Lounge. We offer you a selection of specially sourced wines to complement an à la carte menu designed to suit every palate. You are also welcome to choose from a selection of fine cheeses, tasty desserts and handmade chocolates.
Platinum Lounge’s ergonomic workstations offer a range of business tools at your disposal. Use one of our private meeting rooms to catch up with colleagues before flying. Pamper yourself in one of our spacious shower rooms, each equipped with luxurious bath products and fluffy towels including hair and shaving products.

SAA’s Arrivals Lounge at OR Tambo International Airport is the perfect place to wait for a connecting flight or freshen up before you leave the airport.
Operating hours: 04h30 to 12h30 daily
LOCATION: Directly after Customs Control on your left-hand side, take the elevator one level up.
Our Arrivals Lounge offers refreshing showers, clothes pressing service and an enclosed smokers lounge. Accessible to our premium travellers, it provides a sanctuary while you wait for onward travel. Come and enjoy freshly brewed coffee or tea and a scrumptious breakfast before you take on the world.
