Making Flexible Changes for YOU
The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives and livelihoods of our customers. The commercial air travel business was not immune to this disruption. We recognise that in this new normal we are in this together, to reset and rebuild. As a gesture of care we have made changes to give our customers the flexibility they require with their travel plans.

- The effective date of this policy is 08 September 2021
- The ‘One Free Change’ is applicable across our route network where tickets are issued on the SAA (083) ticket number range
- The ‘One Free Change’ is applicable to any FARE purchased, including Voyager redemption award tickets and in some instances subject to the availability of the same booking class
- Customers that have voluntarily missed their flight at no fault of SAA are not eligible for this ‘One Free Change’
- Travel must be completed on or before 31 March 2023 for all flight sectors on the ticket
- The rebooking fee is waived, however customers are liable for the collection of any additional FARE value and/or taxes
- Changes would be supported through your Travel Agent or any SAA Direct Sales channels
- The ‘One Free Change’ policy benefit does not include any flight disruption caused by ‘SAA’
- SAA reserves the right to amend this policy without prior notice
