South African Airways (SAA) resumes flights between Johannesburg and Hong Kong following Typhoon Mangkhut

SAA has been working closely with the weather services in Hong Kong, closely monitoring the trajectory of the typhoon and the timing of the potential impact. The typhoon has now passed through Hong Kong, which clears the airspace for us to resume operations.

To ensure that we assist all customers affected by the cancellation of our flights, we have scheduled a bigger aircraft to operate over the next 2 days. As recovery operations continue in Hong Kong, note that ground services at Hong Kong airport as well as public transportation may still be affected.

Assistance will be provided to all ticketed customers holding a South African Airways ticket (only) via any SAA Call Centre, City Travel Office or your own Travel Agent.
