Manage My Booking

It is a good idea to be well prepared before you travel. Manage My Booking is a helpful application that allows you to review your travel itinerary, make or change requests and add specific services. Read the following information before you fly.


How do I benefit from using Manage My Booking?

As a South African Airways customer, Manage My Booking is a self-service on-line initiative designed to assist you by:
  • Giving you reassurance about your booking by being able to view booking details 24 hours a day at any time up to when you travel for each flight.
  • Eliminating the need for you to check your booking details and request booking services by phone.
  • Reducing time spent in airport check-in queues.
  • Providing travel information relevant to your booking to help you plan and prepare for your travel.

Manage my booking allows you to:
  • Change domestic  bookings
  • Retrieve and pay for your bookings
  • View details of your travel itinerary
  • Advanced Seat Reservation: Book your favourite seat in an interactive seating plan!
  • Make meal requests from a list of available special dietary meals
  • Provide Advance Passenger Information (e.g. passport and other details), when travelling to international destinations.
  • Add a Voyager or partner airline frequent flyer number to ensure receipt of tier miles and Voyager Miles
  • Email your itinerary to colleagues, friends and family.
  • View check-in times and information about On-line Check-in and;
  • Customer Self-service Check-in machines
  • Request a tax Invoice for bookings
  • Check-in for your flight on-line and print your boarding pass (where available) before going to the airport.
  • Obtain baggage information including allowances or restrictions.
  • Access real-time departures and arrivals information.
  • Change your flights, upgrade your cabin class with Voyager Miles and claim refunds



Manage My Booking features

Manage My Booking gives you access to the following features:

Before flight

  • Online check-in
  • Flight status
  • Seat selection:
    • A fee may apply, depending on the booking class. Based on availability, seats may be selected free of charge 24 hours prior to departure.
    • Front row seats are reserved for Voyager Elite Customers (Platinum, Gold, Silver).
    • Seat reservations are on SAA operated flights and cannot be guaranteed. They may need to be changed for operational, aircraft type change, safety reasons or after boarding the aircraft.
    • Exit Row Seats cannot be occupied by passengers younger than 16, the elderly or those with any permanent or temporary impairment.
    • Please read the Advance Seat Reservation (ASR) full Terms and Conditions.
  • Meal request (meal Requests must be requested at least 72 hours prior to departure. Meal requests on airlines other that South African Airways cannot be guaranteed)
