South African Airways advises on amended Abu Dhabi route departure times

JOHANNESBURG. 9 April 2015. South African Airways would like to advise customers and the travel trade that the airline’s flights to and from Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi, depart an hour earlier from Johannesburg, and 40 minutes earlier from Abu Dhabi, than originally scheduled due to the adaptation of the flight path.

Passengers and travel agents are reminded to be mindful of the departure times of flights and ensure that they, or their travel agent where applicable, adapt their bookings especially where they have onward connections from both cities. Key to the re-booking process and flight changes is a minimum connecting time recommended per departure point.

SAA offers a dedicated Trade Support facility which assists the travel trade to rebook alternative flights and booking classes so that customers are not left stranded.

For further assistance:

Ø  Travel agents may contact Trade Support on 0860 102 705 or 011 978 9990

Ø  Operational hours: Mon- Fri from 08h00 until 17h00

Ø  Customers may contact the Call Centre on 011 978 1111 or   0861 606 606

Ø  Operational hours : Mon – Sun from 06h00 until 22h00

SAA’s re-accommodation policy, in cases where, due to a change in schedule, a customer should miss an onward connection, makes provision for customers to be rebooked to their final destination in the most expedient way.
