An extraordinary general meeting of South African Airways (SAA) was held today where the shareholder was present.
At the meeting, the decision of the Board of SAA to commission an independent investigation into allegations surrounding SAA’s CEO Khaya Ngqula and the executive team was endorsed. The Board will submit the Terms of Reference for the independent investigation to the shareholder for approval. The investigation will be undertaken as a matter of urgency.
The Board will take the necessary measures to ensure that due process is followed during the investigation; as well as in respect of any required remedial, risk mitigation and disciplinary measures as a consequence of the findings of the investigation.
