Guarulhos International Airport has a total of 3 terminals. SAA is located at terminal 3, dedicated to international flights, with facilitated access to connecting flights.

Check-in

Airport check-in and bag drop

All SAA check-in desks are located within the G area via entrance G at Terminal 3. Self-service kiosks are also available for check-in in this terminal.
Airport check-in and bag drop opens at 2h30 in the afternoon.
Online check-in: opens 24 hours before departure

Online check-in

To avoid queuing at the airport, online check-in opens 24 hours before each flight and will remain open up to 2 hours before each international departure.

  • You can select your seats free of charge and print your boarding pass in advance.
  • If you do not have access to a printer, you can print it at the self-service kiosks at the airport or download it to your mobile device, if you are flying from an eligible airport.
  • A dedicated bag drop is available at the airport, where your bags will be tagged.

Connecting at Guarulhos airport is simple and easy.

Domestic – domestic connections

When flying within Brazil through Guarulhos International Airport, bags are through-checked depending on the final destination. However all passengers and baggage must be cleared at Guarulhos airport.

Recommended minimum connecting time is from domestic to International 1h30 minutes. Connecting time from International to domestic is 2hs. Please allow extra time if you require special assistance or you are travelling with children.

Lounges

SAA Star Alliance lounge is situated in the restricted (boarding) area on Terminal 3 (mezzanine). SAA business-class clients have complimentary access to the lounge and any customer can access it for an additional fee.

Getting to and from the airport

Guarulhos International Airport is located roughly 25km from São Paulo urban centre. The hub is served by various transport networks, including taxis, buses, subways and railway lines. Car hire and shuttle facilities are also available at the airport.

The taxi rank is located in front of the International Terminal.

Car hire

Several car hire providers can be found on both Terminal 2 and 3 or you can enquire at the Information desk which is found as you exit the arrivals area.

Bus

Several bus lines can be found at terminals 1 and 2. And you can connect between the terminals without leaving the airport.

Hotels at the airport
