Terminals

Hong Kong International Airport has two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The two terminals are interconnected, within 3 minutes in walking distance.

Check-in

Airport check-in and bag drop

SAA check-in counters are location at Aisle F of Terminal 1, passenger may also choose to make use of the self check-in kiosks for convenient check-ins.

Airport check-in and bag drop: Opens at 3 hours 10 minutes before STD

Online check-in: opens 24 hours before departure

In-town check-in (at Hong Kong and Kowloon stations of Airport Express line in Hong Kong): Open daily from 8:00am (This service is only available a day before departure till 90 minutes before STD).

Sky Pier check-in (for passenger taking ferries from ports in the Pearl River Delta of China, and directly connecting our flight ex Hong Kong to Johannesburg): available daily from 8:00am until 120 minutes before STD.

Online check-in

To avoid queuing at the airport, online check-in opens 24 hours before each flight and will remain open up to 90 minutes before each domestic departure and 2 hours before each international departure.

Connections

Connecting at Hong Kong International Airport is simple and easy.

Lounges

Eligible passenger may make use of the United Airlines; Lounge – United Club.

Getting to and from the airport

Airport Express

Travel comfortably between the airport and Central in just 24 minutes on the Airport Express. Trains depart at 10-minute intervals from 05:54 to 23:28 and approximately 12-minute intervals from 23:28 to 00:48 daily.

Taxi

Taxi Station is located near the left-hand ramp outside the Arrivals Hall.

Hotel Coach

If you are staying at a major hotel, the hotel coach will deliver you directly to your hotel. You can book a seat on a hotel coach by approaching the following Commercial Services Counter in Arrivals Hall B, Terminal 1.

Bus

Hong Kong International Airport is well served by public bus routes. The buses provide a convenient but relatively inexpensive transport option.

Transport for Special Needs

Passengers with mobility difficulties can also consider a variety of flexible and personalised transport services through advance booking.

The Regal Airport Hotel, only a two-minute walk from the Arrival Hall A of Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport, the Hotel is also in close proximity to the AsiaWorld-Expo convention centre and just 10-minute ride to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port by public transport.
