It is the Holiday Season and, true to its name, that is what most of us have on our minds. Winding down for the year, having a good break, and slowly winding up again for another 12 months of adventure, challenges and successes. While we can look back at a year that was sometimes crazy, sometimes difficult and at times inspiring, we can all say that we have completed another cycle of learning and experience, a new layer on which to build a better tomorrow.

It is time to go on holiday, and if you have not made any plans yet, it is never too late to find an adventure. Remember that when travelling to colder climates like the United States and Europe this December, inclement weather may add some challenges to your itinerary. It is always advisable to insure for such eventualities. Also make sure that we have your correct contact details at Voyager and that your bookings include the same. Introducing the new SAA Voyager Mobile App

You might just be one of our loyal customers who have been selected to be part of the closed customer group to experience and critique our new SAA Voyager Mobile App. The App includes various functionality of Voyager, inclusive of requesting awards, claim missing Miles, converting Miles, donating Miles and much more. It is a transactional App and will be an intervention offering aimed at enhancing your transactional experience with Voyager until SAA relaunches their mobile App in the second semester of 2019.

Once we are satisfied that we have considered and incorporated the valuable feedback from the closed customer group, we will introduce the Voyager App to all Voyager members. It is our endeavour to present this offering in February 2019.

Flight Simulator Redemptions

Effective 1 December 2018, SAA Voyager is introducing an SAA flight simulator experience as a redemption option for members. You can have the experience of being a pilot by simply redeeming 31 250 Voyager Miles to enjoy an hour flight simulator experience.

Airlink introduces Business Class on Victoria falls and Walvis Bay routes

Airlink introduced further enhancements to its Cape Town and Hoedspruit services.

Airlink’s direct services between Cape Town and Victoria Falls, as well as Johannesburg and Walvis Bay; now offering intra-continental (as in intra Europe) style Business Class service.

Airlink increases customer convenience on the Durban to East London routes

Airlink has introduced a third flight operating at midday Mondays to Fridays. The flight will depart from Durban King Shaka International Airport at 12h00 and arrive at East London at 13h20. The return flight will depart from East London at 13h45 and arrive at Durban King Shaka International Airport at 15h05.

Self-service check-in

Why wait in a queue, if you can check-in online, at our self-service kiosks or via the SAA mobile app.

Checking-in online is fast and efficient, you can also use the self-service kiosks in the check-in area, allowing you to bypass the check-in counters and take your baggage straight to the bags drop-off counter.

then The SAA mobile app allows you to download your boarding pass straight to your smartphone or tablet. This service is available for all international flights across South African airports, except for travel from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo. 

If you are departing from Dar-es-Salaam, proceed to the check-in counters for boarding pass issuance.

Tier Status qualification

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty throughout this very challenging year.

We encourage you to please scrutinise your Voyager account to ensure that all your 2018 flights are recorded before 31 December 2018. This will assist you with attaining the correct Tier status and membership card for 2019!

Remember to update your Voyager profile

We receive quite a number of requests for ticket refunds due to names on tickets not matching the passport.

As a valued and loyal Voyager Member, you are always encouraged to update your membership account details. It is vital that your full names on the ticket matches your passport and Voyager profile. Should the name(s) and surname not match, you will not be allowed to travel and will not earn the Miles due to you.

To update your contact details:
  • Login into your SAA Voyager account on flysaa.com;
  • Select 'View Your Details' at the bottom left side of the page;
  • Update your details; then
  • Click "Submit" at the bottom left side of the page.
Please note that changes to name(s) and surname on your Voyager profile cannot be amended on the website. Kindly e-mail voyager@flysaa.com for assistance. The following documents are required:
  • Certified copy of ID/passport for name and surname corrections;
  • Certified copy of ID/passport and marriage certificate for surname changes; or
  • Certified copy of ID/passport and divorce decree.
