It's Freedom Day this month and in true South African tradition, important days of observation are taking the shape of month-long celebration. It's about more than just reflecting on our past, our transformation as a nation and the incredible country that we are all able to enjoy. April is about being cognisant of the journey ahead and how we can make the most of it for both ourselves and our fellow South Africans.

In addition, our already successful Nedbank credit cards and the recent launch of the Nedbank cheque card, has led the way to the launch of our credit card offering in Mozambique, in partnership with Banco Unico. Uber South Africa joins Voyager

Voyager announced a new partnership with Uber South Africa on 5 March 2019. You are reminded that you can now use your Voyager Miles for Uber vouchers as follows:

Uber Voucher 1 - 3000 Miles (R120)
Uber Voucher 2 - 5000 Miles (R200)
Uber Voucher 3 - 12500 Miles (R500)

Additional restrictions for Passengers Transiting or Transferring to the USA

In terms of United States' Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the carriage of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LAGS) purchased in duty-free areas of the airports by passengers in transit on flights originating from Johannesburg, Accra and Dakar en route to the USA will not be allowed.

Passengers are advised to factor this in when planning to transit/transfer through Johannesburg, Accra, and Dakar to avoid unnecessary discomfort and/or possible loss of their items.

Airlink re-introduces a third flight to Mthatha

The additional midday flight will operate from, Monday to Friday from OR Tambo International at 12h00 arriving at Mthatha at 13h15. The return flight will depart from Mthatha at 13h35 arriving at OR Tambo International at 14h50. The service is operated by an Embraer 135 Regional Jet.

Airlink services between Johannesburg and St Helena Island

Airlink announced that their flights between Johannesburg and St Helena Island will now perform an en-route fuel-stop in Walvis Bay Namibia on Saturdays, rather than Windhoek, as from Saturday, 7 April 2019.

The flight schedule will remain the same. The return flight from St Helena will continue to operate as a non-stop service.
