Redeem with Uber using SAA Voyager Miles (only available in South Africa)

Effective 5 March 2019, SAA Voyager members have the opportunity of using SAA Voyager Miles to pay for Uber Rides or Uber Eats.

How to redeem your SAA Voyager Miles for an Uber Voucher Code?

• Member logs into www.flysaa.com with Voyager number and PIN.
• Member selects Awards option.
• Member selects Non-Air Awards.
• Member selects Lifestyle award type from the Non Air Awards screen.
• Member selects Uber option.
• Member must then select desired voucher amount from 3 options i.e.

Uber Rides Awards

• Uber Rides 1 –   4 300 Miles (R120)
• Uber Rides 2 –   7 100 Miles (R200)
• Uber Rides 3 – 18 000 Miles (R500)

• On the same screen the member must tick the checkbox confirming that they accept the SAA Terms & Conditions.
• The system will then display the award verification screen. If the user is happy with the information, select continue to generate your Uber Voucher Code.
• The system will then display the award confirmation screen displaying the Uber Voucher Code.
• The member will be sent an SMS and if applicable, an email detailing the Uber Voucher Code.

How to request an Uber ride using the Voucher Code?

• Download and install the Uber app on your IPhone, Android or Windows phone, and once installed, you can register your information, which includes your name, email address, phone number, and your payment information (in this case SAA Voucher code which serves as a form of payment)
• Once you are logged in the next step will be to set up your preferred payment method such as a valid credit card or by linking your SAA Voyager Miles available under Gift Card.
• Go to the Uber App and chose Payment Options, then select ‘Add Payment Method’ and click on ‘Gift Code’. Simply enter your voucher code and off you go!
• Click on Gift Card tab to prompt you to enter the Gift Code, which is generated when redeeming your SAA Voyager award for Uber.

How to request Uber Eats using the Voucher Code?

• Download and install the Uber Eats app on your IPhone, Android or Windows phone, and once installed, you can register your information, which includes your name, email address, phone number, and your payment information (in this case SAA Voucher code which serves as a form of payment)
• Once you are logged in the next step will be to set up your preferred payment method such as a valid credit card or by linking your SAA Voyager Miles available under Gift Card.
• Go to the Uber App and click on the profile icon
• Tap promotions.

• Enter Voucher Code and click on Apply.
•  
• Click on Gift Card tab to prompt you to enter the Gift Code, which is generated when redeeming your SAA Voyager award for Uber.

Uber Eats Awards

• Uber Eats 1 –   4 300 Miles (R120)
• Uber Eats 2 –   7 100 Miles (R200)
• Uber Eats 3 – 18 000 Miles (R500)

• UberGo – seats four (4) people and is a lower cost product only available in Port Elizabeth for now.
• UberX – seats four (4) people and is for everyday rides.
• UberBLACK – seats four (4) people and is a premium offering and only available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town.
• UberVAN – seats seven (7) people and is perfect for group trips.
• UberASSIST – seats four (4) people with trained drivers for riders with special needs.
