Hwange National Park: Remote, romantic wilderness
Zimbabwe’s largest wildlife park is the one to choose if you want to escape from humans and find animals in abundance. Close to the Kalahari Desert, it has some great walking trails and you’re guaranteed breathtaking animal encounters.
Hwange is home to over 100 mammal and 400 bird species, and has one of the largest elephant populations in the world. It also has hides to help you get as close as possible to the wildlife, day or night. You’re likely to see African wild dogs, lion, leopard, spotted hyena and cheetah.
Hwange also offers some remote bush camps for an authentic back to nature experience, including The Hide, Somalisa and Little Makololo. Relax beneath the stars and enjoy bush dinners with traditional African food.
