Star Alliance Lounges information
As a benefit of our Star Alliance partnership, eligible travellers can enjoy Star Alliance lounges in a number of destinations around the world.
Heathrow Airport
The Star Alliance Departures lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport is South African Airways’ new home. The lounge is located in the duty-free shopping area in Terminal 1, and is open seven days a week, from 5:30 to 22:00.
The lounge offers guests:
- Business facilities
- Complimentary food and beverages
- Dining and TV areas
- Complimentary international newspapers and magazines
- Free internet access
- A children’s play area

Lounge access
The Star Alliance lounge area includes luxurious First Class and Business Class lounges. The Business Class lounge is available to SAA Voyager Platinum and Gold members including Star Gold customers. Platinum members will be invited to make use of the First Class Lounge subject to space availability.
